Opononi Lighthouse Motel

The hotel is nice, and has wi-fi, outdoor dining area, and laundry facilities. The staff helped me with directions to attractions on my first stay. I highly recommend it, and I'm coming back for Christmas.

They placed us in an apartment which was a nice size and great value for money. Absolutely stunning views - we could see sea. Its location was indeed nice and only 5 minutes walk from Opononi Beach.

The location was exceptionally nice, approx 10-15 minutes' walk from Opo the Dolphin Statue. Besides, it was just next door to the Four Square shop, the waterfront and Opononi township.

The beach access right across the street made our mornings special, as we enjoyed picturesque sunrises. Thenice and neat rooms were perfect for my family's needs!

If I could give more stars I would! This place was beyond amazing, right on the water with quick access to the beach. The unit was super clean, and the people running the hotel were friendly and offered great suggestions for things to do. We thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor table overlooking the water for our morning coffee. Plus, the flowers and plants around the hotel are amazing.

The shower is on the smaller side, but it didn't detract from our experience.

Spacious rooms with great outdoor seating. Neat gardens that add a calming vibe.

Some appliances feel outdated, with a stove taking ages to boil water. The parking can get tight, especially if the place fills up.

Take advantage of the BBQ area. It offers a lovely view of the sunset over the harbor.

Clean, comfortable kitchenette, cute atmosphere, a fantastic stay overall.

The lighthouse motel woudl ve been an absolute gem if not for the myriad of inconveniences. We could hear the neighbors' plumbing all night, good. And with minimal counter space in the kitchenette, it's just what one would expect when trying to work in such cramped quarters. I nearly left a glowing review, but just couldn't.

Beautiful sunsets right across the street. Loved the clean room and spacious, well-maintained garden.

Cozy stay and lovely views

We had a nice night here and really liked the fantastic sunset views by the BBQ area! The kitchenette was a bit cramped for cooking, but the welcome we got made it worthwhile. It's easy to walk to cafes and shops nearby. The neighbors were kinda loud, though, a bit annoying.

I had a lovely stay at this beachside spot where the clean, spacious rooms.

This place is perfectly located close to the beach, shops, non-touristy spots, and local stores, taverns, and cafes.

Great value for the price, the unit is completely new and has a terrace.

The rooms here were a good deal, super new, and even came with a sweet terrace to chill on 🌟.
